Harrisonburg Farmers Market
The Harrisonburg Farmers Market provides the public with easy access to fresh, nutritious, locally produced agricultural goods and crafts of the highest quality, to assist local and regional farmers and other producers to directly market their products to the local customer base, and to support environmental stewardship and community well-being. The market is open Tuesdays & Saturdays from 8 am – 1 pm.
Visit Gloria’s Pupuseria on Tuesdays. Gloria offers Pupusas (corn tortillas stuffed with combinations of cheese, beans, veggies, pork and/or chicken) and other Salvadoran food.
Also, while at the market stop by Jan Carter Designs. Jan will be there Tuesdays & Saturdays. She makes jewelry from horn beads from Africa, inlaid beads from Nepal, Tibetan and Chinese beads. Turquoises used include browns, yellows and blues, as well as purple turquoise from Peru, white turquoise from China and green turquoise from Africa. Jan has a knack for choosing unusual stones and beautifully incorporating multicultural items into stunning one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. It is not unusual for one of her pieces to include materials from five or more different nationalities. All clasps and findings are either sterling silver or copper. Special orders are welcomed, and prices begin at $20.00.
Downtown Wine & Gourmet: International Beer & Wine Tastings
Taste a variety of beers and wines from around the world at Harrisonburg’s Downtown Wine & Gourmet, home to hundreds of craft beers and fine wines, as well as locally-made chocolates, locally-roasted coffee, gourmet foods, and homebrew supplies. Tastings are free and ID is required.

Harrisonburg International Festival
Serving as the anchor event for the Harrisonburg International CommUNITY Celebration, the Harrisonburg International Festival will be celebrating its 19th year with an extravaganza of performing, visual, and culinary arts and a world of beautiful people offering a remarkable smorgasbord of mouth-watering delicacies, musical talent and dance, creative folk art, language and intercultural learning opportunities, a World Bazaar of exquisite hand-made and imported art and souvenirs, and a world of stories waiting to be shared!

Harrisonburg International Festival Community Cookbook
If you haven’t already discovered these delicacies for yourself, you’re invited to pick up this remarkable collection of recipes from local intercultural cuisines at the Harrisonburg International Festival. The cookbook features recipes inspired by different cultures around the world with submissions from the local international community and others who have kept in touch after returning home from their time in friendly-city. Proceeds will help keep the festival going for future generation to enjoy!
